A Low-RCS and High-Gain Slot Antenna Using Broadband Metasurface PROJECT TITLE :A Low-RCS and High-Gain Slot Antenna Using Broadband MetasurfaceABSTRACT:This letter introduces a unique slot antenna with each low radar cross section (RCS) and high gain characteristic. The antenna is fabricated on a thin metasurface and fed by the rear employing a C-band standard waveguide. The metasurface consists of rectangular patch artificial magnetic conductor (RPAMC) to supply reflection energy cancellation and enlarge effective aperture simultaneously. Measured results indicate that the RCS at boresight reduces additional than six dB in broadband, whereas the novel antenna gets a pair of dB gain improvement compared to that of a reference antenna with same-size metallic ground. Consequently, the confliction between radiation and scattering performance of slot antenna is well resolved. Did you like this research project?
