PROJECT TITLE :

Neumann Series Expansion Based LMMSE Channel Estimation for OFDM Systems

ABSTRACT:

In an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system, the linear-minimum-mean-square-error (LMMSE)-based mostly channel estimator usually requires a matrix inversion with cubic complexity. During this letter, by employing a terms Neumann series expansion to approximate the matrix inversion, the computational complexity is reduced to per channel realization, where is the quantity of subcarriers and is the quantity of non-zero time domain channel taps. Intensive simulation results show that even with tiny ( ), the performance loss caused by the proposed approximation is marginal.
