PROJECT TITLE :

Energy-Efficient Relay Selection for Cooperative Relaying in Wireless Multimedia Networks

ABSTRACT:

In existing wireless networks, supporting multimedia services are turning into additional in style and vital. In general, wireless multimedia networks should need energy potency and reliable transmission whereas keeping satisfactory quality of services. During this respect, cooperative Communications have been thought of as an efficient approach to address these demands by offering significant diversity gains over single-antenna systems while not increasing necessities on radio resources. During this paper, we propose an influence-allocation technique to optimize the decode-and-forward (DF) cooperative transmission for supply and relay nodes as a means that to reduce the entire power consumption, whereas maintaining the specified quality of services, and investigate basic characteristics of cooperative transmission in terms of power efficiency. Moreover, for a network with multiple cooperative nodes, we tend to also propose an energy-economical relay selection rule to offer fairness at each node and implement it into a sensible routing protocol. Our performance analysis is supplemented by simulation results to illustrate significant energy savings of the proposed methods.
