A Survey of Traffic Data Visualization

ABSTRACT:

Knowledge-driven intelligent transportation systems utilize knowledge resources generated within intelligent systems to boost the performance of transportation systems and give convenient and reliable services. Traffic data talk to datasets generated and picked up on moving vehicles and objects. Data visualization is an economical means that to represent distributions and structures of datasets and reveal hidden patterns in the info. This paper introduces the fundamental concept and pipeline of traffic data visualization, provides an overview of related information processing techniques, and summarizes existing ways for depicting the temporal, spatial, numerical, and categorical properties of traffic knowledge.
