Track initiation in low-earth-orbit objects using statistical modeling of sparse observations
In this paper, we investigate a brand new track initiation technique enabling the utilization of an occasional-cost radar system for low-Earth-orbit surveillance. This method relies on a 1st association of observations with very little ambiguity followed by a fast initial orbit determination. This study supports the feasibility of the system because this system shows coverage of eighty four.fourpercent among half-dozen d, with a combinatorial complexity kept below management when assessed in a very realistic multitarget tracking context.
