A Robust Synchronization Method for Centralized Microgrids

ABSTRACT:

Microgrids represent one of the simplest candidates to redesign the architecture of the long run distribution network. Such a model, in fact, is promising to be in a position to properly manage a larger penetration of distributed energy resources whereas improving the local production and utilization of energy. On the opposite hand, the control of a microgrid is kind of challenging since the system has to be significantly reliable and versatile due to the desired multiple and concurrent tasks to be performed. In this state of affairs, this paper proposes a novel resolution that is in a position to synchronize the part and also the frequency of all of the devices connected to the microgrid through the combined use of different part-locked loops and the 1 pulse per second signal, provided by a International Positioning System device.
