Malicious-Proof and Fair Credit-Based Resource Allocation Techniques for DSA Systems

ABSTRACT:

We propose a credit-based resource allocation technique for dynamic spectrum access that is robust against malicious and selfish behaviors and ensures sensible overall system fairness performance whereas also allowing spectrum users to realize high amounts of service. We tend to also propose a new objective perform that, when combined with the proposed credit-based technique, results in more enhancements of the system fairness performance. Our proposed techniques overcome user misbehavior by masking the impact of the users' pursued non-public objectives on the general system performance. They conjointly improve fairness among users by allocating service to users adaptively by accounting for how much service every user has received within the past. Our simulation results show that our proposed techniques maintain high system performance by allowing users to achieve high amounts of service and by ensuring honest allocation of spectrum resources among users even within the presence of misbehaved users. Using simulations, we have a tendency to also show that these high performances are also achievable underneath varied completely different network eventualities.
