All-Fiber Mach–Zehnder Interferometer for Liquid Level Measurement


A new liquid level sensor based mostly on in fiber Mach–Zehnder interferometer (MZI) is proposed and demonstrated. The MZI is created by cascading 2 peanut-formed fiber structures in single-mode fiber. Within the water level experiment, the sensitivities of sensors with lengths of fifty three.5 and 75.4 mm are −zero.1025 and −zero.0279 nm/mm, respectively. The absolute worth of sensitivity will increase with the refractive index of liquid. The MZI presented during this paper has blessings of low value and easy fabrication, that can be a possible advantage in the liquid level measurement.
