SEARCH: A Stochastic Election Approach for Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Networks

ABSTRACT:

This paper presents a semi-centralized stochastic election approach named Stochastic Election of Acceptable Vary Cluster Heads (SEARCH), assuring low time value and optimal range cluster heads for every round. SEARCH, by boosting cluster head threshold of a node during a favorable position whereas deteriorating it otherwise, achieves an aggressive goal on prolonging the spherical of half alive nodes surviving (notably stable period) in addition to slashing weak sensing period. Likewise, we tend to eliminate the unfavorable scenario that no cluster head emerges during some specific rounds, enhancing network performance.
