Triggering and Relay Node Selection for Self-User Relaying


Self-user relaying technology is designed to support multiple self-owned devices particularly when wearable devices are changing into a lot of fashionable. In this letter, with a thought of power control and discontinuous reception mechanism, an influence model and energy metric are derived to analyze self-user relaying performance. Results show that underneath a typical traffic model, self-user relaying will improve energy performance when the relay node itself has the maximum traffic volume. Additionally, a simple battery budget threshold based mostly relay node selection is suggested for limited battery budget of nodes.
