A Novel Optical Frequency-Hopping Scheme for Secure WDM Optical Communications
A completely unique optical frequency-hopping scheme in wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) systems is proposed to attain secure communications with high capacity. Frequency hopping is realized by the hopping of digital signals among different channels. Within the proposed system, the signal from any supply is separated into small segments within the time domain, and therefore the segments are carried by a lot of than one totally different-wavelength optical carrier.
