Generation of OAM waves with circular phase shifter and array of patch antennas


The design of an 'orbital angular momentum (OAM) antenna' primarily based on an ingenious part shifter and power divider combination at 2.five GHz is presented. A prototype is manufactured and characterised based on come back loss, radiation and part patterns. Both simulation and experimental results proof the properties of waves carrying OAM. This OAM antenna is straightforward, compact and easy to understand, which makes it appropriate for radio communications and radar applications.
