Reconfigurable Multi-State Composite Split-Ring Resonators


We have a tendency to present 2 versions of the reconfigurable composite triple split-ring resonators (C3SRRs). Reconfigurability is achieved by means that of the de-tuning technique that permits obtaining totally different dual-band and single-band composite resonators from one triple-band topology. 5 totally different configurations are obtained using the first topology: one triple-band, two twin-band and two single-band C3SRRs. The second topology provides seven different configurations: one triple-band, 3 twin-band and three single-band C3SRRs. PIN diodes are used as switching components, which are placed on the vertical branches of split-ring resonators thus that the filter insertion loss will not increase. Measured and simulated knowledge are compared and excellent agreement is obtained.
