The Changing Electrical Landscape: End-to-End Power System Operation Under the Transactive Energy Paradigm
ABSTRACT:
The electrical Business Landscape is undergoing significant changes because of the increased use of intermittent renewable resources at both the majority-power and distribution levels, the emergence of new technologies, and therefore the increased participation of distributed and demand-facet capabilities in Power System operations. 2 major complementary developments are gaining momentum to help address the challenges related to the rising business landscape: a replacement distribution system operator (DSO) construct and also the transactive energy (TE) systems framework.
