Efficient phase-only linear array synthesis including coupling effect by GA-FFT based on least-square active element pattern expansion method

ABSTRACT:

A replacement least-square active part pattern expansion (LS-AEPE) methodology is presented. With the assistance of this technique, the array's pattern including the part mutual coupling and platform result can be efficiently calculated by the quick Fourier rework (FFT). These techniques are then combined with the genetic algorithm (GA) to optimise the excitation phases for a sixty four-component linear array mounted on a trapezoid metal plate.
