Robust adaptive beamforming using low-complexity correlation coefficient calculation algorithms


A robust adaptive beamforming technique primarily based on a reconstructed covariance matrix and array steering vector (ASV) estimation using low-complexity algorithms is proposed. The spatial spectrum estimator is employed to reconstruct the interference-and-noise covariance matrix and therefore the ASV estimation method is employed to calculate the correlation coefficients of the assumed ASV and also the eigenvectors. Contrary to different robust adaptive beamforming ways, this approach has better performance yet does not involve any specific optimisation programme whether or not arbitrary ASV imperfections are thought of. Straightforward implementation and important signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio enhancement support the practicability of the proposed method.
