Waveguide bandstop filter based on irises and double corrugations for use in industrial microwave ovens

ABSTRACT :

During this reported work it's shown that one amongst the foremost used filtering systems for use in continuous-flow industrial microwave ovens, specifically doubly corrugated filters, does not work properly for several values of the electrical permittivity of the processed material when it's partially crammed. Therefore, a completely unique bandstop filter which solves these inconveniences, based mostly on a mixture of metallic irises and double corrugations, is designed by means of CST Microwave Studio® and experimentally validated.
