Active quasi-circulator with high port-to-port isolation and small area

ABSTRACT :

An active quasi-circulator integrated circuit wishing on a differential central core is presented. Measurements on the quasi-circulator reveal that the forward transmission coefficients, Stwenty one and S32, are both close to -4 dB within the range of 2.five to six GHz. The isolation between the ports is greater than twenty dB and will reach up to fifty nine dB within the case of S13. The chip was fabricated on a standard a hundred thirty nm CMOS process and also the core circuit area measures 0.one hundred and five mma pair of, creating it the tiniest active quasi-circulator known so far.
