Wideband circularly polarised antenna on slot-loaded ground plane


A wideband circularly polarised antenna is presented. It options an inverted L-shaped monopole, an inverted U-formed strip and a slotloaded ground plane. The bottom plane and U-shaped strip share the same layer, and therefore the L-shaped strip is printed in the other layer. The U-formed strip is helpful in increasing the come back-loss bandwidth, and also the slot on the ground is found crucial to widen the axial-ratio bandwidth. With a correct length of the slot, the experimental results show that the antenna encompasses a come-loss bandwidth of GHz (2.05??four.05 GHz) and an axial-ratio bandwidth of 1.8 GHz (a pair of.0?? 3.eight GHz).
