VCO with magnetic flux control loop

A voltage control oscillator (VCO) adopting a magnetic flux management loop is demonstrated in 90 nm CMOS technology. The dimensions of the magnetic management loop is adjustable by switching transistors on the loop, which permits the variability of inductivity in the resonator and widens the oscillation frequency range of the VCO. The tuning vary of the VCO is from 13.35 to fifteen.half dozen GHz with power consumption of 5.eighty eight mW, and phase noise of -127 dBc/Hz at 1MHz offset under 1.three V offer voltage.
