Design of dual-band tri-way GaN Doherty power amplifier with frequency dependent power division

ABSTRACT :

A twin-band tri-way Doherty power amplifier (PA) with frequency dependent power division is proposed. Compared to the twin-band two-way Doherty PA, the ability back-off range of the twin-band tri-means Doherty PA is extended efficiently. Because of frequency dependent power division, the potency of the proposed PA is improved at 2 totally different frequencies concurrently. The measured results show that power-added efficiencies of sixty one and forty four% are reached at the 9%dB back-off purpose from saturation at 0.nine and a couple of.31%GHz, respectively.
