PROJECT TITLE :

Frequency tunable S-band resonator using nematic liquid crystal

ABSTRACT :

A tunable resonator primarily based on change of substrate permittivity is fabricated employing a new high performance liquid crystal GT3-23001. The results show a measured frequency tuning range of eight.two% compared with a simulated eight.five% around a centre frequency of two.8%GHz, with a lower insertion loss compared to plain liquid crystals.
