PROJECT TITLE :

Wideband directional elliptic coupler based on CB-CPW technology

ABSTRACT :

A replacement wideband 3 dB directional coupler primarily based on CB-CPW technology is presented and implemented. The proposed coupler is elliptic, offering a good bandwidth compared to the traditional branchedarm hybrid technology. In fact, simulated and measured results show a better performance, especially in terms of bandwidth (~fiftypercent) compared to traditional CPW branch-line hybrid couplers. This novel architecture is useful for low-cost wideband applications.
