Schottky-capacitance pulse-shaping circuit for high-speed light emitting diode operation


A brand new pulse-shaping circuit has been designed to increase the performances of large signal modulation of light emitting diodes. It's simply based mostly on a parallel Schottky-capacitance circuit in series with the sunshine emitter. The peak power of the generated optical pulse is shown to be considerably improved compared to the classical resistance-capacitance peaking circuit for sub-nanosecond pulsewidths.
