An Approach Toward a Conceptual Collaborative Framework Based on a Case Study in a Wood Supply Chain

ABSTRACT:

To face the present economic context and higher respond to plug demand, several corporations have started creating collaborations with totally different organizations inside and out of doors their offer chain. The target is to own a larger visibility over offer chain operations, decision creating and designing with positive impacts on the productivity and performance. In this paper, a collaborative framework is proposed to enhance the business competitiveness of supply chains. Different dimensions including business and marketing, interfirm collaborative aspects, and quality and conformity during this framework are taken into account. Competence as an encompassing factor for human facet to implement and operate the proposed framework is additionally scrutinized. All stated dimensions are then place together below one umbrella and implemented within a decision support system using on-line analytical processing database. The wood trade in Quebec North Shore region is chosen as an example of a offer chain and therefore the case study throughout this paper.
