Resource allocation in wireless networks with RF energy harvesting and transfer

ABSTRACT:

RF energy harvesting and transfer techniques have recently become various methods to power the next generation of wireless networks. As this rising technology allows proactive replenishment of wireless devices, it's advantageous in supporting applications with QoS requirements. This article focuses on the resource allocation problems in wireless networks with RF energy harvesting capability, referred to as RF-energy harvesting networks (RF-EHNs). 1st we have a tendency to gift an overview of the RF-EHNs, followed by a review of a selection of issues concerning resource allocation. Then we have a tendency to present a case study of planning in the receiver operation policy, which is of paramount importance in RF-EHNs. We tend to focus on QoS support and repair differentiation, that have not been addressed in previous literature. We additionally outline open research directions.
