Release Stabilization on Linux and Chrome

An empirical study of the time and effort for unleash stabilization on Linux and Chrome found that little teams controlled the stabilization effort, few changes were reverted, and the initial developer did not do a lot of of the rework. Despite regular speedy unharness cycles, a rush period occurred before unharness stabilization, and stabilization periods could vary up to ten days.
