ABSTRACT:

We report on high-peak-power and nanosecond pulse generation at 1120 nm with a easy all-fiber configuration, which is composed of a 1120-nm linear cavity and a 1064-nm master oscillator power amplifier. The 1120-nm laser is pumped by the self-pulsed ytterbium-doped fiber master oscillator power amplifier configuration, in which the 1064-nm pulse generation is accomplished through the self-gain switching method. The typical peak power of 1120-nm pulses is calculated to be regarding four.5 kW after the optical filter, and a lot of significantly, the typical pulse width at 1120 nm is concerning 1–2 ns, that is shorter than those reported before.
