Back-Side Readout Silicon Photomultiplier
We gift a unique structure for the back-facet readout silicon photomultiplier (SiPM). Current SiPMs are front-illuminated structures with front-side readout, which have relatively little geometric fill issue resulting in degradation in their photon detection potency (PDE). Back-aspect readout devices will give an advantageous resolution to realize high PDE. We tend to designed and investigated a unique structure that would allow back-facet readout whereas making a section of high electric field optimized for avalanche breakdown. Additionally, this structure has comparatively high fill issue and also permits the direct coupling of the individual microcell of the SiPM to application-specific integrated circuits. We have a tendency to can discuss the performance which will be attained with this structure through device simulation and the method flow that can be used to fabricate this structure through process simulation.
