Study on Crosstalk-Free Polarization Splitter Based on Square Lattice Single-Polarization Photonic Crystal Fibers


We tend to propose a completely unique L-formed crosstalk-free polarization splitter (PS) based mostly on sq. lattice single-polarization photonic crystal fibers, which has a wide bandwidth (250 nm) for single-polarization transmission. By employing a vectorial finite-component methodology and finite-component beam propagation methodology, the numerical simulations demonstrate that an occasion light polarized in any direction will be split into 2 orthogonal single-polarization states ( - and -polarizations) without any crosstalk through the proposed PS. Furthermore, a large structural tolerance and a large transmission bandwidth also are demonstrated, that would cause more easier fabrication method.
