Flexibility Testing Strategies and Apparatus for Flexible Electronics

ABSTRACT:

We tend to report testing ways and equipment for the testing of versatile electronic devices and systems. To build reliable electrical connections for versatile electronic devices beneath mechanical flexibility testing, we have a tendency to use an anisotropic conductive film bonding of versatile extension cables to long affiliation leads on the versatile sample. This allows electrical connections while not mechanically interfering with the devices beneath test. We tend to report 3 platforms for versatile device testing: a straightforward push-to-flex equipment that gives unguided bending of a versatile sample, a roller-flex apparatus that uses a roller to provide controlled-radius bending, but applies some tensile force to the sample, and an on-belt-flex apparatus that uses a secondary flexible substrate to supply controlled-radius bending while not extra tensile stress. These flexible testing approaches are useful tools to get electrical properties for flexible electronic devices and systems as a operate of bending or flexing.
