Fast Algorithms for the Delay Estimation in Digital Predistortion System


In this letter, two strategies are introduced for the potency enhancement of the delay estimation within the digital predistortion (DPD) system. The frequency multiplication (FM) method, that has less computation complexity than ancient cross-correlation method, is used for the coarse alignment of the DPD system. The parabolic curve fitting (PCF) method, that will eliminate up-sampling and filtering operations, is employed for the fine alignment. The ultimate experiment result shows that new methods can efficiently improve the delay estimation potency of the DPD system with virtually the identical estimate precision as the traditional delay estimation methods.
