Energy Efficient Transmission for Multicast Services in MISO Distributed Antenna Systems
This letter aims to resolve the energy potency (EE) maximization problem for multicast services in a very multiple-input single-output (MISO) distributed antenna system (DAS). A completely unique iterative algorithm is proposed, that consists of solving 2 subproblems iteratively: the facility allocation problem and therefore the beam direction updating downside. The former subproblem will be equivalently transformed into a 1-dimension (one-D) quasi-concave downside that is solved by the golden search technique. The latter problem will be efficiently solved by the present method. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm achieves vital EE performance gains over the present rate maximization technique. Additionally, when the backhaul power consumption is low, the EE performance of the DAS is better than that of the centralized antenna system (CAS).
