Multiband Antenna for Satellite Navigation System

ABSTRACT:

This letter presents a multiband antenna for many navigation satellite systems including GPS, GLONASS, BDS-1, and BDS-a pair of. The most options of this antenna are the subsequent: three layers of stacked rectangular patches to attain multiband operation and compactness; axially symmetric distribution of shorting pillars to reduce the inductance caused by long feeding probes to reinforce the isolation between feeding probes; metal walls to boost the antenna radiation pattern. During the simulation and experiments, the proposed antenna exhibits glorious performance and proves its suitability for the integrated positioning of multisystem compatible receiver. Details of design concerns and experimental results are presented.
