k-Hop Sharable Sensing in Cognitive Radio Networks


During this letter, a new cognitive radio sensing strategy termed k-hop sharable sensing (KS-sensing) is proposed. In KS-sensing, the sensing outcomes of a secondary user (SU) will be shared by neighboring SUs inside k hops, whereas the primary users (PUs) are protected in terms of detection chance. As the amount of sensing channels will increase, compared to the SU's individual native sensing, KS-sensing not solely reduces the sensing overhead and also the interference ratio but also improves the channel access opportunity. Numerical results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of KS-sensing.
