2DE-WAVE Tool for Computing Theoretical Field Levels at MF HF band and Comparison with Experimental Values in a Real Environment
??????This paper presents a study of electrical field values at medium wave in an area of one hundred sixty x 160 km2, analyzing it beneaththirteen; a theoretical purpose of view and contrasting the results with values from experimental campaigns. The implemented
application is named two-Dimensional Electrical-Wave (2DE-WAVE), and it's based on the GRWAVE program from thethirteen; ITU for flat land however incorporates the Millington method for mixed paths. The obtained results show the importance
of characterizing the terrain with correct conductivity and permittivity values due to the high influence that thesethirteen; parameters have on the electric field. When comparing theoretical and experimental values, we observed that, inthirteen; general terms, they agree well for not terribly rough terrains however with sure field fluctuations, significantly in ??shadow
areas?? either by the presence of buildings or outstanding topographical irregularities. Absolute mean errors of theoreticalthirteen; versus experimental values between two.4 and a pair of.9 dB with deviations of 2.8 and three.three dB were obtained in an
space of twenty x twenty five km2 surrounding the transmitters, which reaffirm us the need to validate the simulation values withthirteen; field measurements. Illustrative maps of the distinction between theoretical and experimental electric field values arethirteen; additionally shown.
