Different Slot Configurations for Direct-Drive PM Brushless Machines
This work describes the design and optimization method of a direct-drive permanent magnet synchronous machine that is suitable for electric motorcycles. The machine is designed to de-velop approximately the identical power than a standard 250cc motorbike internal combustion engine. The most goal of this work is to design an outer-rotor machine that's coupled on to the wheel (direct-drive or in-wheel motor), thus it is necessary to understand the scale and arrangements of the wheels. The direct-drive systems don't need any gearbox to drive the vehicle, thus that the worldwide efficiency is beyond typical systems employing a gearbox. The planning and performance of the machine are assessed by means that of simulations using the finite part method. The finite component method is the most tool to optimize the machine's design.
