PROJECT TITLE :

Transport - Wireless charging first of formula e's technological promises [News Briefing]

ABSTRACT:

STARTING FROM scratch and in solely 2 years, Formula E and its partners designed an all-electric racing automobile capable of mounting to 250km/h and pledged to push the still nascent electrical vehicle technology into a replacement era. During the series' final check race in Donnington on nineteen August, semiconductor technology manufacturer Qualcomm, a project partner, unveiled wirelessly charged safety cars and said that among a year the technology will be utilized within the racing cars furthermore. "Formula E needed to get the cars out into the race as soon as attainable, which means that we have a tendency to did not have enough time to implement everything we tend to wanted," said Graeme Davison, Qualcomm's vice president for Technology.
