Stability Analysis and Stabilization of a Class of Cutting Systems With Chatter Suppression
During this paper, a new technique for stability analysis of a single degree of freedom (SDOF) cutting system with sinusoidal spindle speed variation (SSSV) is proposed. Based mostly on the approximately periodic property of the time delay in the turning process and therefore the delay decomposition technique, novel criteria of stability analysis for an SDOF cutting system are presented. Moreover, a state feedback controller is meant to stabilize the system and improve the steady-state response. Numerical simulation shows the effectiveness of the tactic.
