DeyPoS Deduplicatable Dynamic Proof of Storage for Multi-User Environments - 2016 PROJECT TITLE: DeyPoS Deduplicatable Dynamic Proof of Storage for Multi-User Environments - 2016 ABSTRACT: Dynamic Proof of Storage (PoS) is a useful cryptographic primitive that allows a user to check the integrity of outsourced files and to efficiently update the files during a cloud server. Although researchers have proposed several dynamic PoS schemes in singleuser environments, the problem in multi-user environments has not been investigated sufficiently. A sensible multi-user cloud storage system desires the secure client-aspect cross-user deduplication technique, that allows a user to skip the uploading method and get the ownership of the files immediately, when alternative owners of the same files have uploaded them to the cloud server. To the most effective of our knowledge, none of the present dynamic PoSs can support this system. In this paper, we tend to introduce the concept of deduplicatable dynamic proof of storage and propose an efficient construction known as DeyPoS, to achieve dynamic PoS and secure cross-user deduplication, simultaneously. Considering the challenges of structure diversity and personal tag generation, we exploit a completely unique tool known as Homomorphic Authenticated Tree (HAT). We prove the protection of our construction, and the theoretical analysis and experimental results show that our construction is economical in practice. Did you like this research project?
