Continuous Neighbor Discovery in Asynchronous Sensor Networks - 2011 ABSTRACT: In most sensor networks, the nodes are static. Nevertheless, node connectivity is subject to changes as a result of of disruptions in wireless Communication, transmission power changes, or loss of synchronization between neighboring nodes. Hence, even after a sensor is awake to its immediate neighbors, it should continuously maintain its view, a method we have a tendency to call continuous neighbor discovery. In this work, we tend to distinguish between neighbor discovery during sensor network initialization and continuous neighbor discovery. We tend to specialize in the latter and view it as a joint task of all the nodes in each connected segment. Every sensor employs a straightforward protocol in a coordinate effort to cut back power consumption while not increasing the time required to detect hidden sensors.
